Didn't turn out the way I wanted...but then again, when do they? Watercolor, and masking fluid. I might try this one again, when I can hold the color bead better. Please comment!
The striations in the distant mountains remind me of the mountain in Purple Mountain Majesty. The progression of color from the front of your painting, muted crimson, baby blue, hunter green and blended blue/green aqua, make the deeper sky blue veins of the light washed out pink mountains come to life and draws your eyes immediately to the distance. The very best feature of all of your paintings is your flowing use of color. I think it is definitely your forte. Your style reminds me of Dega's Dancers.......here is a link to one of my favorites.........[link] have the same type of vision he had.......very remarkable...........W
